Laser-Cut Looks in Fashion & Jewelry

Related to the grid pattern designs that are popular of late, laser-cut designs are making a strong showing in fashions and accessories, including jewelry, this season.

The March 2013 issue of Marie Claire features a necklace from Bally in which “Baroque and bondage become intertwined in an elegantly looped collar.”

At the other end of the demureness spectrum, the March 2013 issue of Elle features “sweet broderie anglaise” (open-work embroidery done on fine white cloth ) in designs categorized as the “Age of Innocence.” Featured are carved agate earrings with rose gold detail and a rose gold chain with carved agate pendant, all from Pomellato.

Over a blazer and skirt of floral cutout design from Valentino, the March 2013 issue of Lucky adds an open-work crystal, glass bead, and brass necklace from Lulu Frost. The belt is from Banana Republic and the minaudiere from Overture Judith Leiber.

The March 2013 issue of Marie Claire spotlights the combination of royal blue and gold, including an elaborate necklace from Oscar de la Renta. Also pictured is a chunky chain bracelet from Michael Kors and a goldtone watch from Guess Watches.

One editor’s choice for spring in the March 2013 issue of People StyleWatch is laser-cut designs. Jewelry pictured consists of a metal cuff from Gemma Simone.

A sterling silver cage bracelet is pictured in this ad from Bottega Veneta.

An ad for the Copley Collection by Hearts on Fire presents open-work designs.

All manner of open-work jewelry designs coordinate beautifully with this spring fashion trend.
