Steven Lagos’ latest caviar offerings aren’t what you might expect (hint, they’re not silver). In fact, they are the opposite of bright and shiny—they are deep, dark, outer-space black. Welcome to the Black Ceramic Caviar jewelry collection by LAGOS.
“I was looking for a way to interpret caviar differently,” Lagos explained to the media upon release of the collection, which ships to stores in September. “I love the smooth finish of ceramic and the color choices it offers. Ceramic widened the design scope for us in many ways.”
The black beads allow the artist to tell the caviar story in another way while remaining true to his My LAGOS My Way campaign, which encourages women to build creative bracelet stacks.
“The bracelets really are the core of this collection because this silhouette is absolutely our best seller,” explains a company spokesperson. “The LAGOS woman is confident enough to customize her LAGOS stack her way.”
To wit, 12 SKUs of mainly bracelets exist with silver and gold as accents and clasps, the latter of which has been tweaked to be curvier, more feminine, and a better fit. Buy-in is 10 pieces, and retail prices start at $450.
