Lab-grown diamonds are popping up in more places.

Helzberg Diamonds is testing lab-grown diamonds in 10 stores, according to Neil Kopell, president of Renaissance Diamonds, which is supplying the stones.

The lab-grown diamonds on sale include pinks, whites, and canary yellows. Price points range from $5,000 to $11,000.

Some of the diamonds, particularly the pinks, are being sold through a joint venture with manufacturer Scio Diamond. The pinks on sale range in weight from one-half ct. to 1 ct.

Helzberg is not the only noteworthy retailer experimenting with synthetics. 

Sam’s Club’s site has listings for ring with a 2.01 ct. H VS2 lab-grown round (price: $14,999), an engagement ring with a 1.52 ct. H VS2 lab-grown round (price: $7,999), and several other lab-grown diamond rings.
