Kerry Washington joins Movado’s ‘Art of Time’ ad campaign

Actress Kerry Washington, who starred in 2004’s Ray, the life story of musician Ray Charles, will appear Movado watch’s “The Art of Time” international advertising campaign, starting this fall.

She joins Mikhail Baryshnikov, Sarah Chang, and Mia Maestro in the advertising campaign.

The first Movado advertisements featuring Washington will appear in what Movado calls “high profile positions” in September publications, including the back cover of Vogue.

Kerry Washington starred in Ray opposite Jamie Foxx as Charles’ wife Della, and won the “Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture” honor for her performance at the 2005 NAACP Image Awards. Prior to Ray, she played the lead in Spike Lee’s film, She Hate Me. She is seen this summer in the Fantastic Four movie, based on the Marvel Comics superheroes. Other film credits include The Human Stain and Save the Last Dance.

Efraim Grinberg, Movado president and CEO, said Washington’s “exceptional talent and striking beauty will enhance the artistic designs of our watches. She ideally complements the prestigious group of artists who are part of Movado’s brand advertising.”

Movado Group, Inc. designs, manufactures, and distributes Movado, Ebel, Concord, ESQ, Coach, Tommy Hilfiger and Hugo Boss watches worldwide, and operates Movado boutiques and company stores in the United States.
