Kelly Rowland will perform at the Diamond Empowerment Fund’s annual Diamonds in the Sky gala at the Four Seasons in Las Vegas on May 28.

Rowland was a member of Destiny’s Child, one of the most successful girl groups of all time, with Beyoncé and Michelle Williams. Since the group disbanded in 2005, she has sold more than 27 million albums as a solo artist. She appeared on stage with Beyoncé and Williams in 2013 during the Super Bowl halftime show.

“We are thrilled to have such an enormous and bighearted talent on board,” said DEF board president and Mercury Ring CEO, Phyllis Bergman. “It is so important to us to show how diamonds do good globally, and Ms. Rowland’s strong commitment to giving back is an inspiration and a testament to that message.”

The Diamonds in the Sky Las Vegas gala will take place as the industry gathers in the desert city for JCK Las Vegas. This year’s event will honor Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the government of the Republic of India “for their progress toward national sustainability and the advancement of the diamond industry.”

The event raises funds for education scholarships for youth from global diamond communities.
