GENERAL SESSION: "Diamond Dialogue – the Kimberley Process and Consumer Confidence" 12: 30 PM – 1:45 PM
This session, presented by the World Diamond Council, (WDC) will provide an interactive platform to discuss the Kimberley Process with current KP leaders from the three sectors in the KP – government, industry and civil society.
Panelists include Brad Brooks-Rubin, US State Department; Noora Jamsheer of the UN Panel of Experts on Cote D’Ivoire; the NGO community; Eli Izhakoff, President of the WDC; Matt Runci, President, JA and Chairman of the Board, Responsible Jewelry Council; Cecilia L. Gardner, JVC; John Hall, Rio Tinto. Moderated by Dorothee Gizenga, Director, Diamond Development Initiative. Light lunch provided.

JVC at AGA – Friday, June 4
Red Alert! Composite Rubies – AGA Workshop & Mixer, 2:00 PM. Gemologist Christopher Smith, president of American Gemological Laboratories and Suzan Flamm, JVC Assistant General Counsel, present a low-tech, hands-on workshop to teach industry members to confidently identify and accurately describe composite rubies.
The workshop will be at the Platinum Hotel 211 E. Flamingo Road from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. Friday, June 4th followed by a no host mixer.
