Juicy Couture Closing All U.S. Stores

The juice has run out.

Juicy Couture, the California retailer that’s best known for its rhinestone-studded tracksuits but also sells jewelry, is closing all its U.S. stores.

A statement from Authentic Brand Group, which purchased the brand in 2013, said its stores in North America “are being phased out as they were opened by a previous owner of the brand and are no longer representative of the Juicy Couture brand today and ABG’s vision for the brand’s future.”

A spokeswoman says 120 stores are affected.

As part of a relaunch, the brand plans to open World of Juicy concept stores next year in the U.S. and Canada, in high-traffic cities such as New York City, Los Angeles, and Vancouver.

The brand will continue to maintain 200 retail locations in international markets such as Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. It expects to add another 127 stores in international markets over the next five years.

The company also announced a new partnership with watch brand Movado, part of its Juicy Couture Black Label collection, which will be sold internationally.
