Judith Ripka opens Madison Ave. flagship; unveils new collection

The Judith Ripka Companies, Inc. on Wednesday opened the doors of its new flagship store, in New York City.

The 1,200 sq.-ft. retail space, located at 777 Madison Avenue, debuts a new Judith Ripka boutique concept for the brand that includes concierge courtesies, such as luxury transportation service and restaurant reservations at posh Upper East Side eateries..

However, the main event will be Judith Ripka’s debut of the new Couture Collection and the introduction of the Ripka Custom Design Salon. The new collection “harmonizes the versatility and wearability of Judith Ripka’s original ‘blue jeans to black tie’ philosophy with the power of red-carpet fascination,” the company said. Ripka combines bold colors, rare diamonds and one-of-a-kind stones with her distinctive 18k matte gold.

The space, a collaboration between Judith Ripka, New York interior designer Tristan Harstan and New York architect James D’Auria, was created to feel “more like an atelier or salon” that combines of easy elegance, luxury, and romance.

Ripka will also introduce the Ripka Custom Design Gallery, an exclusive salon within the store, empowering women to embrace their own personal creativity. The Ripka Custom Design Gallery experience will involve a one-on-one consultation with a Couture Design Consultant, followed by Judith, herself, sketching designs for the client’s review, to combine the client’s vision with Ripka’s distinct design elements in order to create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. This concept will roll-out in Ripka’s nine other luxury store locations throughout the year.
