Johnson Matthey NY, a supplier of semi-fabricated platinum
jewelry, is inviting entries to a new design competition called The Johnson
Matthey Sustainable Design Award.
The company says the competition is for American-based
emerging jewelry designers “who are looking to begin building their portfolio
in platinum” and notes that its “aims are to sustain the design and manufacture
of platinum jewelry in North America.”
Sponsors include Carrera Casting Corp., Platinum Guild
International, Rare Creative, and MJSA as media sponsor.
The deadline for drawings, renderings, or photos is Nov.
25. Winners will be announced at
an invitation-only awards party held during MJSA’s Expo New York in March 2011.
