Jewelry brand John Hardy is dipping its sterling silver toe into the personalized jewelry arena with its first-ever shopper customization program.
The brand’s flagship store in New York City’s SoHo will host an “Artisan in Residence” in-store event from Nov. 19 to Dec. 1.
Brand devotees will work with artisans to personalize both sides of the clasp of a John Hardy classic—the Reversible Classic Chain bracelet—with a choice of 19 different gemstones, including pyrite, moonstone, sapphire, and ruby.
Consumers will also be invited to watch and learn a handful of crafting techniques used by John Hardy’s artisans at the brand’s workshop in Bali. A chain weaver, gem setter, and sketch artist will be on site for the demonstrations.
