Jewelers International Showcase (JIS) along with Reed Exhibitions has officially announced that it will introduce a brand-new jewelry trade show to take place this fall—in California.
The new show, named JIS Delivery—San Diego, will run Nov. 2–4 at the San Diego Convention Center.
The cash-and-carry at-show delivery for which JIS has become well-known will play a crucial role in this event (hence its name) and will give its primarily West Coast audience the opportunity to obtain immediate inventory as the holiday season for 2019 begins. Offering up-to-the-minute trends, retailers can be sure to find what their gift-seeking shoppers will be looking for this year.
“The JIS Shows are known for their perfect timing, based on the needs of the modern jewelry retailer, catering to unique buying markets, and the opportunity to buy at the wholesale level right on the show floor,” said JIS Shows industry vice president, Jordan Tuchband, in a statement. “The Western U.S. represents a huge part of the jewelry industry, but many of these retailers have had to fly across the country to attend shows in the fall. After directly speaking with a large volume of retailers west of the Mississippi River, it became apparent there was not only a need, but a genuine desire by jewelers to have a buying event located in an affordable, east-to-get-to location, at the right time, on the West Coast.”
