JIS Jewelry Show Announces Date Change

Jewelers International Showcase (JIS) has announced a date change for its second show of 2019. Its upcoming showcase at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Florida has been moved from March 15–17 to April 16–18.

The show has historically taken place in April and was originally moved to March due to venue-scheduling restrictions from ongoing renovation work at the Miami Beach Convention Center. But projects in the venue have been completed—so the show is able to shift back to its traditional April date pattern.

The JIS jewelry show is owned by Reed Exhibitions, which also owns JCK magazine.

“The opportunity to move the dates of the show back to mid-April is a big win for attendees and exhibitors,” said Jordan Tuchband, industry vice president of JIS Events, in a prepared statement. “The new dates are much more ideal for seasonal Mother’s Day buying, will significantly lower travel expenses, and increase the diversity of product available for purchase on the show floor.”

The JIS April show is famous for its easy shopability—it’s the most intimate of all JIS shows, which allows buyers to restock from the holidays and buy for the upcoming season in a fun and hassle-free environment.

The Jewelers International Showcase was founded in 1979 to supply the jewelry trade markets of Latin America, the Caribbean, Florida, and the southeastern United States with product in advance of the busiest buying times of the year. It’s among the most enduring jewelry shows in the world.
