Trend No. 9: Vintage-Inspired Designs
Silhouettes and details from eras past continue to be honored in today’s jewelry designs, from Edwardian filigrees to Art Deco straight lines, Art Nouveau nature-loving looks to our modern affinity for rose-cut diamonds. Many of our favorite modern designs take their cues from periods past without being wholly enveloped in them. Baguette diamonds are channel-set into chunky, high-polish pieces. Blackened or oxidized metals add a toughness to more delicate, filigreed jewels. Art Deco’s straight lines are muscled into curvy shapes, while maintaining that distinctive look.
