This winter, wearing white is fresh and fashionable, right down to one’s shoes. A head-to-toe hue is best enlivened with a variety of textures. White and colorless jewelry are the perfect finishing touch.
Calling white the “season’s new hue,” the November 2012 issue of Harper’s Bazaar highlights a textured chunky white chain with crystal pendant from Donna Karan New York, a crystal-ball ring on a pale silver band from Bottega Veneta, and a chunky colorless cuff from Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquière.
In the February 2013 issue of Harper’s Bazaar, white continues to be the color of the moment for accessories in a collage featuring white earrings by Jen Kao; a necklace of white and off-white links with pendant from Dominique Denaive; a silver Georg Jensen bangle; a silver Ippolita ring; a chunky white necklace from Pono by Joan Goodman; and stud earrings from Tacori.
The February 2013 issue of Glamour notes that “It may be winter, but designers’ warm-weather stuff is already in stores. Start planning your next six months’ outfits here!” The commentary continues: “One option now: keeping your color palette simple, simple, simple. Remember, sometimes a noncolor like white makes the strongest statement, especially in new shapes and fabrics.” A white jumpsuit from L’Agence is pictured with a white link bracelet from J.W.
