Share

Ann Marie Glynn, a well-regarded jewelry marketer, publicist, and educator, died on Nov. 3. She was 64.

Glynn had been president of GJB, a Covington, La.–based marketing and PR firm that specialized in jewelry, for the last 18 years. From 2013 to 2016, she served as executive director of the Texas Jewelers Association. During that time, she founded the Southern Jewelers Guild, a platform for local businesses, which later changed its name to Jewelers Suite.

In 2018, she became the publisher and editor of JHJ Magazine, a publication that sprang from the popular “Jewelers Helping Jewelers” Facebook group. She was also a writer and columnist for Southern Jewelry News.

“[Ann] believed in people—in their stories, their artistry, and their dreams—and she made our entire industry stronger through her guidance, kindness, and generosity,” wrote longtime associate George Bundy on his Facebook page. “Her sparkle went far beyond the jewelry she represented; it was in her spirit, her laughter, and the way she encouraged everyone to be their best.

“Her influence and energy will live on in every project, every idea, and every life she touched,” he added.

Glynn is survived by her husband, Mark; her mother, Evelyn Vitale; a brother, Andrew; two daughters; and three grandchildren. A memorial page can be seen here.
