The Jewelry Insurance Appraisal Institute will offer jewelry appraisers in San Francisco a certified insurance appraiser course Sept. 10–13.
The course, sponsored by JIBNA Personal Jewelry Insurance, will cover topics including insuring jewelry, settling claims, and ordering replacements.
“Many of our customers need an appraisal in order to get jewelry insurance and they ask their agent to recommend an appraiser. We want our agents to be able to send customers to the best in their area,” Dave Hendry, president of JIBNA, said in a statement.
Appraisers can register for the course at the JCRS website.
