Robbers Tie Up Store Employee in Chicago Heist
Cicero, Ill. On Aug. 7, four or five men entered Roosevelt Gold Exchange and attacked a store employee. The robbers put a bag over the employee’s head and tied him up with a phone cord before stealing around $40,000 in jewelry.

New Jersey Store Hit With Armed Robbery
Wayne, N.J. A robber armed with a handgun held up Janice and Jack’s Jewelry Inc. store on Aug. 7. The man demanded money from the store’s employees and then fled with cash.

Suspect Fires Gunshot at California Store Clerk
Turlock, Calif. Three suspects entered Universal Jewelers on the night of Aug. 9. One of the alleged robbers fired a gunshot, which missed a store employee. The three suspects stole jewelry and then fled in a getaway van.
