Jewelry Color Combo: Oxblood and Gray

I love drama this time of year. I’m not talking about the inevitable scenes that play out during a crowded family Thanksgiving or the craziness that ensues when combating holiday shopping crowds. I’m talking about dramatic style. Layer on the dark, alluring uniforms, the sparkling sequins, the soft velvet, the silk ribbons. I’m enamored with the goth-meets-luxury-meets-fashion ensemble. I don’t know about you, but one typically has only so many events to attend and therefore only so many excuses to dress like a drama queen. So for every day, I like the slightly toned-down combination of oxblood and gray. It’s still a very deep, riveting look, and when certain jewels are paired just right, it’s a clear winner. I picture a jewelry showcase laden with ruby jewels, rough diamonds, labradorite, and plenty of black rhodium. It’ll catch your customers’ eyes, and maybe even inspire their sartorial choices this holiday season. Pair the jeweled combination with a dramatic burgundy dress, a cozy gray weekend sweater, or even an all-white ensemble.
