Jewelers of America Names Matthew Rosenheim New Chair

Matthew Rosenheim (left), president of Washington, D.C., retailer Tiny Jewel Box, was elected chair of Jewelers of America (JA) at the group’s annual meeting on Oct. 27.

He will head JA’s executive committee. Other officers elected to the committee are Steve Padis, owner of Padis Jewelry, chair-elect; Elise Greenberg, CEO of Greenberg’s Jewelers, and Karen Goracke, CEO of Borsheims, vice chairs; Steve Velasquez, chief operating officer of Madison Jewelers, treasurer; and Tobey Ritchie, executive vice president of Harry Ritchie’s Jewelers, secretary. Coleman Clark, president of B.C. Clark Jewelers, is immediate past chair.

Jewelers of America’s board of directors for the next year includes John Carter, Jack Lewis Jewelers; Joseph Corey, Day’s Jewelers; Kim Crawford, Macy’s; Edward Dikes, Weston Jewelers; Sue Hopeman, Robbins Brothers; Sheryl Jones, Sheryl Jones Jewels; Julie Keeney, Fred Meyer Jewelers; Valerie Madison, Valerie Madison Fine Jewelry; Robert Marks, Rogers Jewelry; Hunter McGrath, Tivol; Krista Peterson, Jewelers Mutual; Constance Polamalu, Zachary’s Jewelers; Sherry Smith, Edge Retail Academy; Alex Stuller, Gemvision; Scott Udell, London Jewelers; Tonia Ulsh, Mountz Jewelers; and Ulrich Wohn, Victorinox (who was recently named president of Shinola, but ended up not taking the job).
