Longtime jeweler Donald McCutchen, owner of McCutchen Jewelers in Rockville, Md., died June 17 at age 70.
McCutchen began his career with a large national chain and then moved on to Nye Jewelers, a high-end jewelry guild store in the Washington, D.C. area. He and wife Eleanore, also known as Ellie, opened McCutchen Jewelers in 1988.
He is survived by Ellie; a daughter; his grandchildren; and sisters and brothers.
He will be interred in his home state of Oklahoma.
In lieu of flowers, any contributions may be sent to the American Lung Association or the American Cancer Society.
