Jewel of the Month: Parade’s Gothic Rubellite Ring

Parade Design Gothic rubellite tourmaline ring

Clearly, I’m not the only one out there who is ready for fall. July’s hot jewel on JCK Marketplace is autumn realized, with its deep, dark design and moody hues. Visitors to the site most likely fell in love with its twists and turns along the band, open scrolls of blackened metal etched with milgrain and climbing to reach a magnificent center stone: the perfect shade of blood red in an 11.64 ct. oval rubellite tourmaline. The look is enchantingly creepy, kind of like Lily Munster or the 1960s-era Morticia Addams—sexy, mysterious, alluring. This ring is all of my favorite things in one supremely luxurious package. It’s a reminder of Halloween year-round—but the seductive vampire kind, with elegant chandeliers and decor (I imagine it would look something like the image below), not the trick-or-treat, cheesy-costume kind. Am I getting off track? Ahem, anyway, that’s what the beauty of this ring does for me. For all of you who checked it out this past month (thank you!), I’d love to know what makes you love it so. Oh—and if you haven’t checked out the other beauties from Parade Designs, do yourself a favor and do that now. Your customers will eat them up!
