Like many people, I have a favorite vacation spot, and I was fortunate enough to escape there over the weekend. In Key Biscayne, Fla., the temperature was a balmy 80+ degrees, and the color of the water is—to me, at least—mesmerizing. The light turquoise hue is reminiscent of many tropical isles, but thanks to its south Florida locale, the beaches of Key Biscayne are just a short flight away from the wintry weather already settling in around my Northeast home.
Having just arrived home, I still have that blue water on the brain—and it happens to be a color similar to this pair of Namibian blue tourmalines from Tamir Jewels in Beverly Hills, Calif. The stunning hand-crafted platinum ring with diamond accents costs $25,000—much more than a weekend escape. But one glance at the blue stone pools on your finger will call to mind warm, ocean-inspired memories all year round.
