Longtime jewelry designer Ann King Lagos, who spent time at Lagos and sold her own Ann King line for QVC, is returning to jewelry with a line for wholesale. King and partner Toni Renée Leslie, a stylist, recently debuted Realm: “Fashion jewelry created in a fine jewelry method,” according to the pair. And when I received my pair of Empress Contour earrings in 18k gold vermeil, there was no doubt that the pieces were made with respect to the “integrity of fine jewelry while being directed from a fashion standpoint,” as their website states. The earrings have a weight to them and a fine finish that I typically only see in karat-gold looks. I can definitely see Lagos’ handiwork at play in the secure fit of the earring backs and in the timeless good looks of the style. How many fashion-priced lines have this kind of sensibility to them? Not many. I look forward to seeing the collection grow and evolve, and I encourage you to check it out.
