The signature style of costume jewelry designer and fashion editor darling Eddie Borgo epitomizes rock ’n’ roll through spikes, studs, and block motifs in brass. However, for these pieces, Borgo was commissioned by LoveGold, aka the World Gold Council, to design in 18k gold. The bracelets debuted to the public at the Ultimate Gold Collection Fashion Show, curated by Carine Roitfeld for the 20th annual amfAR Cinema Against AIDS benefit at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. The pair’s high-polish finish—as well as the company they kept (i.e., celebrities and supermodels)—adds to their over-the-top appeal. And for the right Neiman Marcus shopper (or shoppers), the cuffs could be yours this fall; one is currently located in Chicago and the other in Bal Harbour, Fla., but expect to see both in the retailer’s upcoming Holiday Book. Each bracelet retails for $65,000.
