Jen’s Brazilian Obsession: Vancox’s Flared Studs With Black Spinel and Diamonds

I’ve long been a fan of Vancox designs, which typically embody the sexy movement and refreshing colors of the Brazilian landscape from which owner Ricardo Bronfen hails, but their newest crop of jewels at Feninjer last week offered an even more youthful and modern edge. Thanks to black rhodium and loads of whimsical cuts of tiny gemstones, the Vancox line was positively rich in fun, stackable, and absolutely addictive styles that were hard to put down. Among the new pieces I’m coveting: a pair of black spinel and black diamonds studs in 18k gold with black rhodium that flared out like peplum on the front side of the lobe. These could easily be worn from day to night and have a modern classic look that has long-lasting appeal. Bonus: those cool earring backs that will keep the design stationed securely upward or down on the ear. (Sorry, I didn’t get the price!)
