JCK to launch new show for high-volume jewelry market

The JCK Show announces the launch of the JCK NYC Invitational, The Show for Industry Leaders. The new niche event will be targeted to the chief executive and operating officers, senior management, and buyers from major retail jewelry chains, department stores, large-size independent jewelers, mass merchants, and TV shopping networks. Timed to meet the needs of high volume retailers, this exclusive event will be held March 5-7, 2006 at the New York Hilton hotel in New York City.

The event was developed in response to industry demand for a focused, targeted event for volume retailers buying fall/holiday merchandise. The JCK NYC Invitational has already met with tremendous favorable feedback. Mary Forté, president and CEO of Zale Corp., said, “JCK has a history of producing first-rate events that deliver value for my company and its employees. The new JCK NY Invitational is well timed and provides a great opportunity and convenience for Zale to get business done. I have confidence that JCK will produce a valuable and professional event that will benefit all jewelry retailers who attend.”

Ed Tufexis, divisional merchandise manager of Sears, Roebuck & Co. adds, “We are very pleased. It is long overdue to have show for majors. This will be perfect timing for us to have product for 4th quarter and it matches up with our advertising schedule.”

“We strongly believe that The JCK NYC Invitational will complement our already successful roster of Shows, and further solidify JCK’s position within the industry,” said Dave Bonaparte, vice president of The JCK Shows. Exhibitor participation will be by application and invitation. Limited space is available, and exhibitors must be capable of meeting the needs of high-volume purchasers.
