JCK Show Moving Back to the Venetian, the Palazzo, and Sands Expo in 2019

The convention center, the show’s longtime home, has been revamped

The JCK Las Vegas and LUXURY shows are returning to where it all began—the Sands Expo and Convention Center—starting in 2019.

The shows have taken place at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino since 2011.

“Mandalay Bay has been proud to partner with Reed Exhibitions over the last six years to host and help grow the prestigious JCK and LUXURY trade shows,” said Chuck Bowling, president and chief operating officer at Mandalay Bay, in a statement. “We look forward to welcoming back the jewelry industry for the next two years and then supporting it in Las Vegas for many years to come.”

Yancy Weinrich, senior vice president of Reed Exhibitions, owner of the JCK shows, notes that the Sands has made major renovations to its escalators, lighting, air-conditioning, and lower floor. Also added: a new entryway, an easier-to-navigate layout that will simplify crowd traffic flow, a revamped business center, new food options, and additional amenities.

She adds that the Sands is located near the midpoint of the Strip, an ideal location affording more choices for hotel rooms and dining, and is adjacent to the Venetian and Palazzo hotels.

At Mandalay Bay, the show instituted different “neighborhoods,” and the trade fair will likely retain that format—as well as the sign-carrying “Ask Me” floor guides.

The show has also grown since moving to Mandalay. Weinrich says Reed will continue “to expand the successful launch this year of the Jewelers International Showcase show in Las Vegas as a second venue.”

The first JCK show at the revamped Sands will take place June 2–5, 2019, with LUXURY taking place May 30–June 5, 2019.
