JCK Show Adds Watch Brands, Educational Seminars



JCK Events will have an increased watch presence, both in terms of exhibiting watch brands and attending watch buyers, at this year’s show. 

The new focus is in response to the category’s overall growth and increased interest from buyers. In a pre-show survey, more than 50 percent of survey participants said they were interested in both jewelry and watches when planning their appointments for JCK.

“The watch category has always been a great source of enthusiasm for our show, with Swiss Watch and LUXURY setting the bar for excellence in this market,” said Yancy Weinrich, industry vice president, in a statement. “Now we are even more excited to have a full roster of brands exhibiting between those two shows and the newly evolved Hall of Time into Watches at JCK. We feel that this breadth of product will be of great value to the watch buyers who will be in attendance at this year’s show.”

JCK has also augmented its watch-specific features and content for attendees. An open lounge will be set up for buyers in the watch section on the JCK show floor, inviting retailers to relax and network during the show. Watch seminars, led by Thomas Schumaker of the American Watchmakers-Clockmakers Institute, have been added to the show’s educational program, and daily happy hours will be hosted in the Watch Lounge at JCK.
