JCK Las Vegas 2015 to Host New TED Talks–Inspired Education Program

New for JCK Las Vegas 2015, JCK has unveiled a TED Talks–inspired educational program to arm retailers with the tools, insight, and information needed to succeed in the current era of retailing. The program—set for Thursday, May 28 (one day before the start of the JCK show) at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino—will feature executives from HubSpot, the Edge Retail Academy, De Beers, Adorn Insight, and Wheels Up as speakers.

The new program, featuring Diane Warga-Arias (aka the Jewelry Activist) as its education strategist, was conceived to address the underlying needs of the industry. In addition to the power-packed Thursday lineup of speakers and panels, a handful of sessions will be held on Friday through Sunday, including “Diamond Insights” presented by De Beers chief executive Philippe Mellier and executive vice president of marketing Stephen Lussier. Those who can’t physically make the sessions can access the Talks on jckonline.com, where they’ll find 24/7 access to the presentations once JCK Las Vegas has concluded.

“The Talks model will infuse an inspirational, motivational tone that has proved so helpful to those looking to expand their knowledge, grow their business, and achieve success,” said Warga-Arias. “It’s hearing the stories of others that motivate us to do our best work, and with topics such as ‘Multi-Channel Marketing for the Real World Retailer,’ and ‘The Retail Revolution,’ there will be no shortage of useful tips to take away.”

“We are very excited to bring JCK Talks to the industry,” said industry vice president of JCK Events Yancy Weinrich. “The Talks model feels more timely and engaging, and the thoughtful curation of powerhouse speakers and content ensures a takeaway for everyone.”
