If you’re looking for merchandise to stock your cases this holiday season, you might want to clear your schedule and buy a last-minute ticket to Hong Kong, where you’ll find six shows catering to all aspects of the jewelry business. Closer to home, a group buying fair takes over a luxe property in Phoenix. Otherwise, listen to an important cybersecurity podcast or check out a meaningful photo exhibition in Lower Manhattan.

Plumb Club Podcast (ongoing)

PC Sept The Plumb Club’s September podcast, “7 Cybersecurity Essentials for Jewelers,” provides practical guidance on protecting businesses, employees, customers, and sensitive information from a host of security threats, including phishing emails, payment fraud, ransomware, and customer data breaches—all of which can sabotage and significantly damage a business.

CBG Experience in Phoenix: Sept. 13–16 (in person)

The Continental Buying Group (CBG) Experience in Phoenix opens today at the Arizona Biltmore Resort. The event will incorporate several programming changes informed by member feedback. Traditional breakfast sessions will be replaced by facilitated Strategy Roundtables designed to generate more meaningful peer-to-peer dialogue among CBG’s retail and supplier members. Evening programming will shift to hosted cocktail receptions featuring heavy hors d’oeuvres and signature activations designed to entertain and connect.

JGW Show in Hong Kong: Sept. 14–20 (in person)

Asia’s biggest jewelry week, Jewellery & Gem World (JGW) Hong Kong September, kicks off tomorrow. From Sept. 14 to 18, the AsiaWorld-Expo will serve as the venue for three colocated fairs, each distinguished by their specific focus on precious materials—JGW September: Gemstones (Halls 3, 6, 8 & 10), JGW September: Diamonds & Fine Gems (Halls 5, 7 & 9), and JGW September: Pearls+ (Halls 9 & 11).

From Sept. 16 to 20, three shows dedicated to finished jewelry, packaging solutions, tools and equipment, and jewelry industry–related technologies—JGW September: Hong Kong (Hall 1), JGW September: International (Halls 3 & 5), and JGW September: Fine Design (Grand Hall)—will take over the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Greenwich St. Jewelers Photo Exhibition: Sept. 16, 5 p.m. ET (in person)

ADORNOS “Adornos: Jewelry, Memory & What We Pass Down,” a photography exhibition created in partnership with visual archivist Djali Brown-Cepeda of NuevaYorkinos, opens next Wednesday at Greenwich St. Jewelers in Lower Manhattan. The show explores jewelry as inheritance—the pieces families carry across generations and across places—through the lens of Greenwich St.’s own dual heritage in Puerto Rico and New York City.
