JCK Jewelry Agenda: Week of Sept. 5

Labor Day weekend is upon us. Should you find yourself near Savannah, Ga., don’t miss the ring exhibition on display at the Savannah College of Art and Design’s Museum of Art. Or simply rest up for the week ahead, which sees the opening of the in-person VicenzaOro fair in Italy, the return of WJA’s Jewelry Night Out, and the start of New York Fashion Week. The long weekend also coincides with Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish new year, which begins on Monday evening. Shana tova!

Gemflix Sept 9Gemflix explores the world of artist-made jewelry in its next webinar, a conversation with dealers Didier and Martine Haspeslagh, cohosted with TEFAF Online. The Haspeslaghs will discuss the finer points of what makes a jewel wearable art by sharing three pieces by Lucio Fontana, Arnaldo Pomodoro, and Claude Lalanne, all made with the help of GianCarlo Montebello, a genius facilitator who enabled many artists to translate their creativity into jewelry art.
