Christie’s London presents “Wallace Chan: The Wheel of Time,” the largest exhibition in Europe of works by the master jeweler. Comprising over 150 one-of-a-kind creations spanning Chan’s 50-year career, the exhibit includes such iconic pieces as Stilled Life, an imperial jadeite brooch sculpture that captures a cicada resting on a bamboo leaf, and Metamorphosis, a butterfly brooch that combines emeralds, real butterfly wings, and intricately carved rock crystal and mother-of-pearl. The exhibition also features around 20 never-before-seen works and a series of titanium and iron sculptures.
