Share

As Labor Day weekend winds down, enjoy the last gasp of summer (and hopefully a day off on Monday) because come Tuesday, it’s time to pivot to all things fall and get back into the groove. The end of the week will have many industry pros headed to the gold fair in Vicenza or to NYC for Fashion Week. And did we mention the WJA’s party of the year? Buckle in—your social calendar is about to get very busy…

The Jewelry Library is kicking off its fall programming with “Treasure Trove: Collecting and Creating Costume Jewelry, Past and Present.” Part of the Shop Talk series, the event gathers Vanessa Samet of Vanessa’s Vintage, Inga Levin of Queensantiques, and Melbourne-based jewelry designer Angela Clark for a chat with journalist Jennifer Altmann, followed by cocktails, conversation, and shopping. To RSVP, email info@thejewelrylibrary.com.

WJA Jewelry Night Out (various cities): Sept. 5

WJA JNO 2024It’s the Women’s Jewelry Association’s party of the year, one that brings together industry professionals for an inspiring evening of community, connection, collaboration, and celebration. All local WJA groups have taken care to infuse their respective events with extra glamour (you can enter to win a Forevermark diamond pendant at the Miami soiree) and star power (Sybil Yurman is the special guest of the NY Metro chapter). And—get this—the NorCal chapter has planned a “walk on the wild side” theme, with a dress code calling for animal prints and “fierce” animal-themed jewelry. Now that sounds fun!

VicenzaOro show in Italy: Sept. 6-10 (in person)

With the demolition of Halls 2 and 5 at the expo center, the fall edition of VicenzaOro may look a little different than usual. But thanks to three “temporary halls,” neither the size nor the layout of this premier gold fair will change, according to a press release. That means buyers will find no shortage of prestigious designers and suppliers from all over the world:  1,200 exhibitors from 35 countries are expected at the show—mainly from Turkey, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Germany, and Belgium—along with some of the best Italian designers and manufacturers on the planet.
