The fall season is in full swing! JA New York returns to the Javits Center starting today, and the Women’s Jewelry Association, which just presented its annual Awards for Excellence in New York City, has two professional webinars on the docket. Plus, WJA grant applications are due a week from today. (You can’t win if you don’t enter.)
ATTEND
JA New York Show: Oct. 24–26 (in person)

The East Coast’s premier fine jewelry show opens today at the Javits Center. Regional retailers have been flocking to JA New York’s fall buying show for decades. Its wide selection—everything from loose diamonds to high-end designer jewels—combined with its late-October timing make it the ideal place at which to knock out the rest of your holiday shopping list.
WJA NY Metro Professional Development Webinar: Oct. 26, 6:30 p.m. ET (online)

National Jeweler’s Michelle Graff hosts a discussion with four women in the jewelry industry—artist and designer Michelle Benjamin, content creator and publicist Peggy Jo Donahue, designer and goldsmith Christina Malle, and marketing consultant and stylist Nancy Ross—focused on how mentees can maximize their relationships with mentors in a way that is beneficial to both.
WJA Financial Empowerment Webinar: Oct. 27, 1 p.m. ET (online)
Part four of WJA’s ongoing Financial Empowerment series, “Investing in Your Future,” promises to provide actionable advice on how to make the most of your investment strategy. Presented by the Newman Group of Oppenheimer & Co. Inc.’s Cindy and Morgan Newman, a mother-daughter team of financial advisers, the session is free for members, $25 for nonmembers.
JDPN Friday Night Live: Oct. 29, 5 p.m. ET (online)

The Jewelry Design Professionals Network’s Friday Night Live series is back with a session hosted by jewelry marketer, consultant, and stylist Nancy Ross dedicated to clarifying the distinctions between vintage and antique jewelry. Ross will tackle the nuanced definitions of terms such as heirloom, relic, replica, provenance, retro, repro, and refashioned—and will explain what each one implies about value.
