Karla Martínez de Salas, head of content at Vogue Mexico and Latin America, leads a conversation at 92NY in Manhattan with Paula Mendoza, Vanessa Fernández, Rosario Navia, and Alligator Jesus about the growing Latin American influence on the American jewelry industry. The discussion will focus on the factors shaping these artists’ visions, and trends drawn from the cultures of North, South, and Central America. The free event takes place at Buttenwieser Hall at the Arnhold Center as well as online.

WatchTime NewYork: Oct. 18–20 (in person)

WatchTime New York, North America’s largest and most influential watch exhibition and collector event, returns to Gotham Hall in midtown Manhattan for a weekend-long celebration of wristwatches. An estimated 2,000+ watch enthusiasts are expected to stream through the doors over the course of the weekend, where ticketed guests will try on new timepieces from 36 leading brands, mingle, enjoy exclusive whiskey and wine tastings, and attend expert panel sessions throughout the day Saturday, Oct. 19, and Sunday, Oct. 20.

Armenian Jewellers Association Design Competition: By Nov. 17

Jewelers and designers of Armenian heritage worldwide are invited to submit either a design sketch ready for production or a finished piece of jewelry to the second annual Armenian Jewellers Association (AJA) Design Competition. Sketches must be original, hand-drawn, or rendered using any traditional drawing media or computer-aided design. Finished pieces must be original jewelry pieces crafted from precious metals (gold, silver, or platinum) and/or adorned with diamonds or gemstones. Winners will have opportunity to showcase their work at the GemGenève exhibition in May 2025.
