The Materialist Podcast (ongoing)

Vic Marc Bridge
Victoria Gomelsky and Marc Bridge

Marc Bridge, founder of At Present, invited JCK editor-in-chief Victoria Gomelsky to join him for a special episode of his podcast The Materialist, live from the Las Vegas jewelry shows in June. They talked about what has kept her coming back to JCK after 23 years, why jewelry is still a face-to-face business in a screen-filled world, and how she ended up with a watch named after her—literally, the Gomelsky.

This exhibition showcases a remarkable selection of designs from the museum’s holdings, which comprise over 5,500 works and cover more than a century of design, from the second half of the 19th century to the mid–20th century. Featuring drawings by such designers as Pierre-Georges Deraisme and Charles Jacqueau, as well as from prestigious jewelry houses like Boucheron, Cartier, Rouvenat, and Vever, the show bears witness to an evolution of styles and techniques in the field of jewelry.
