JCK Jewelry Agenda: Week Of Jan. 9

The Golden Globes are on tonight, but tamper your expectations. The traditionally star-studded ceremony won’t have an audience nor will there be a red carpet—it won’t even be streamed online. Blame the omicron-fueled surge in COVID-19 cases, which is also responsible for scores of event postponements, including the slate of industry gatherings that were scheduled to take place in New York City starting on Friday. Instead of schmoozing this week, here’s an idea: Pull up a chair and get comfortable. The podcasts highlighted below are guaranteed to distract and delight!

In episode 141 part 1 and part 2 of The Jewelry Journey podcast, JCK contributing editor Amy Elliott talks to Sharon Berman about her career in the industry, jewelry trends, and the designers she thinks will one day be collectible. She also doles out plenty of unsolicited but helpful advice for emerging designers. If you’re a fan of Amy’s All That Glitters blog, this is a generous helping of her lovable breed of “extra.”
