The 81st Golden Globes: Jan. 7, 8 p.m. ET (on CBS)

The Golden Globe Awards mark the start of Hollywood’s awards season. The 81st edition takes place tonight, airing on CBS. In addition to a change in broadcast network (so long, NBC!), the awards have new ownership, boast an expanded voting membership, and are hosted for the first time by stand-up comedian Jo Koy. As you watch the show, keep in mind: It’s a Barbie world, we’re just living in it.

The Original Miami Beach Antique Show returns to the Miami Beach Convention Center from Jan. 11 to 15. For antique and estate jewelry and watch dealers, this show is the granddaddy of them all. Come for the vast selection, stay for the education, which includes discussions on everything from decoding antique jewelry across eras to the thrills and tribulations of watch collecting.
