Gemflix “Inside the Frick” Webinar: Jan. 24, 2:30 p.m. ET (online)

The online jewelry talks hosted by the jewelry social club Gem X return this week with a digital tour of the Frick Collection museum in New York City hosted by art historian Geoffrey Ripert. After a five-year closure to accommodate major renovations, the Frick reopened in April. In this episode, Geoffrey will discuss the representations of jewelry in some of the Frick’s most exquisite portraits, including works by Jan van Eyck, William Hogarth, and Jacques-Louis David. CBG Miami Show: Jan. 19–21 (in person)

The Continental Buying Group’s winter show in Miami starts tomorrow at the J.W. Marriott Turnberry Aventura. In addition to buying opportunities, the show features a couple of notable talks, including one by Sara Yood, president and CEO of the Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC), who will offer an in-depth look at the current legal, regulatory, and ethical landscape shaping the jewelry industry, and another by JCK’s very own Rob Bates, who will share his perspective on the state of the jewelry business and the emerging trends retailers need to understand for 2026 and beyond.
NYCJAOS Winter Edition: Jan. 23–25 (in person)

The NYC Jewelry Antique & Object Show opens Friday at the Hilton Midtown. The show, which caters to both trade professionals and consumers, offers antique treasures as well as contemporary designs from exhibitors such as watch dealer Foundwell, vintage jewelry dealer Trissi Corporation, and natural pearl specialist Paul Fisher Inc.
The Winter Show: Jan. 23–Feb. 1 (in person)

Among the country’s leading art, antiques, and design fairs, The Winter Show returns to New York’s Park Avenue Armory this week with over 70 internationally renowned dealers specializing in fine and decorative arts, from jewelry and contemporary ceramics to paintings and furniture. Jewelry exhibitors include gallerist Didier Ltd., period and estate jewelry dealer Kentshire, and A La Vieille Russie (ALVR), the 175-year-old Fifth Avenue gallery known for its expertise in Fabergé.
