It’s show time! It’s been more than two years since the jewelry industry gathered in Las Vegas for the JCK and Luxury shows, and if you’re anything like us, you are ready to get this party started! Luxury opens at The Venetian Resort & Sands Expo on Tuesday, Aug. 24, for invited guests; all buyers are welcome on Friday, Aug. 27, the same day that JCK opens its doors. Both shows conclude on Monday, Aug. 30.

Below, we’ve cherry-picked some highlights from the events schedule. (Note: All times are Pacific Time, and all events are in person.) We truly can’t wait to see you there!

The Jewelry Industry Confidence Index surged to 82 this year. What does that mean? Come to this session on the Showcase Stage—hosted by JCK editor-in-chief Victoria Gomelsky, JCK news director Rob Bates, and publicist Jen Cullen Williams—to learn more about the report’s findings, including insights into top trends and the biggest challenges facing retailers today.

JCK Design Awards Toast in the Design Collective Lounge: Aug. 27, 3 p.m.

From 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., join Diamonds Do Good (DDG), the sponsor of this year’s Design Collective Lounge, located at the show’s main entrance on Level 2, for a toast celebrating the winners of the JCK Design Awards. While you’re there, learn about DDG’s mission to introduce retailers to the consumer-centered 5th C: community. “The traditional 4Cs of diamonds are tactical tools to describe the physical characteristics of a diamond but are devoid of the emotion and passion natural diamonds represent,” says DDG president Rebecca Foerster. “Today’s consumers want more than comparative characteristics—they want to know the positive impact they have on people and communities.” Come for the awards, stay to hear the real story behind diamonds and their value!

JCK Keynote—The Past 18 Months and the Bright Future Ahead: Aug. 28, 8 a.m.

The Venetian Ballroom on Level 2 will host a keynote breakfast featuring jewelry and retail executives from the National Retail Federation, Pandora, De Beers, and more as they discuss the impact of the past 18 months on the retail industry, consumer spending, and brand loyalty. They’ll also share where they think retail is headed and the positive changes the pandemic has wrought.

JCK Talks Session on How to Grow Your Sales: Aug. 28, 2 p.m.

Emmanuel RahebEmmanuel Raheb, the CEO of Smart Age Solutions, leads this session—taking place in Cassanova 601—on strategies to engage, service, and support your customers online. He’ll cover digital trends that have yielded the most success for jewelers over the past year, common errors jewelers can make, and what it takes to execute on the best practices for website design and marketing strategy.
