While it’s summer and still relatively quiet in the city, New Yorkers (or anyone who’ll be in Manhattan in the coming weeks) really must visit the American Museum of Natural History. And don’t miss “Beautiful Creatures,” the special jewelry exhibition on view through Sept. 19. Otherwise, check out the numerous opportunities highlighted below to get educated and stay engaged with your fellow jewelry lovers this week!

In “Diamond Jewelry Trends,” Sagar Manilal, sales manager for Indigo Jewelry, tackles consumer buying habits, such as growing interest in fancy-shape diamonds, and the availability of easier financing leading to higher-priced items being sold at retail.
