Christie’s London Fabergé Auction: Dec. 2, 12 p.m. ET (in person and online)

Christie’s will auction the Fabergé Winter Egg of 1913 this week, marking the first time in more than two decades that a Fabergé imperial egg will be sold publicly. The sale, “The Winter Egg and Important Works by Fabergé from a Princely Collection,” includes other pieces by Fabergé, but the icy rock crystal, diamond, and platinum egg—which is estimated to achieve in excess of $25 million—is the lot to watch.

L’École Paris Course on the Lesotho Legend: Dec. 4 (in person)

L’École School of Jewelry Arts is offering a new course on its campus in Paris: “The Lesotho Legend: From a Rough Diamond to a High Jewelry Collection.” Students will learn about how Van Cleef & Arpels turned the Lesotho Legend, a 910 ct. rough diamond, into 25 creations, to form the house’s 25 Mystery Set Jewels High Jewelry collection. Along the way, they’ll explore the origin, formation, and extraction of the extraordinary diamond.
Gemflix Digital Tour of The Frick: Dec. 6, 2:30 p.m. ET (online)

After a five-year closure to accommodate major renovations, The Frick reopened its doors in April and with it, reunited both connoisseurs and enthusiasts with a world-class art collection. Gemflix is organizing a digital tour of the museum hosted by art historian Geoffrey Ripert, who will discuss the representations of jewelry in some of the Frick’s most exquisite portraits, including works by Jan van Eyck, William Hogarth, and Jacques-Louis David.
