Hosted by Colleen Rooney, chief corporate affairs and sustainability officer at Signet Jewelers, Beyond the Vault examines every facet of the industry, from ethical sourcing and sustainability to cutting-edge design and leadership. The company has already posted the first two episodes, featuring interviews with industry analyst Paul Zimnisky and former GIA president and CEO Susan Jacques. In this webinar, Sonia Chavez of CAZA Collective, a jewelry industry recruiter who connects jewelers and jewelry businesses nationwide, shares her firsthand findings on bench jeweler hiring, including compensation ranges, job growth potential, and the specific skills retailers are seeking. She will be joined by Fanya Hull of Vardy’s Jewelers, who will give a retailer’s perspective on what a bench jeweler role looks like in today’s store environment.

Jewelry Library Class on Shaping Jewelry in the 20th Century: April 13–May 4 (in person)

Registration is open for the Jewelry Library’s (TJL) first class, Shaping Jewelry in the 20th Century, a deep dive into American jewelry history. Taught by Bella Neyman, NYC Jewelry Week founder, writer, curator, and jewelry historian, the class, which meets on Mondays from 6 to 8 p.m. ET in Manhattan, will use TJL’s book collection, handle period pieces, and access primary-source material including vintage catalogues and design books.
