The JCK Industry Fund is now accepting applications for its 2022 grants. Organizations and nonprofit associations that have a project or initiative to benefit the industry at large are invited to apply for consideration by Nov. 19, 2021.

Established in 1997 to support projects that work to improve the growth and health of the jewelry industry at large, the JCK Industry Fund has so far awarded over $7 million to companies and initiatives whose projects improve commerce, development, and consumer confidence; advance business practices; and improve diversity and inclusion.

“Year after year, the JCK Industry Fund offers support to organizations that generate a significant impact to our industry’s growth and development, and uniquely offers funding to a diverse group of projects that cover a variety of sectors of the jewelry industry,” said Yancy Weinrich, chief growth officer for RX Global, in a statement. “We look forward to seeing the new submissions and helping advance the creative, sustainable, and impactful initiatives from jewelry’s leading organizations in 2022.”

“This grant helps [the Black in Jewelry Coalition] hit the ground running with many of the initiatives we have planned this year and beyond,” said Annie Doresca, president and cofounder of the Black in Jewelry Coalition and a 2021 grant recipient, in the same statement. “We are also glad to see that JCK supports the creation of sustainable advancement initiatives for Black professionals.”

Said Tiffany Stevens, president and CEO of Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC), another recipient of the 2021 grants, in the same statement: “This year, JVC was honored to receive funds to support our digital Understanding the FTC Guides book, supported by many educational webinars in our new digital environment, and our work with advocacy and education on increasingly important AML [anti-money-laundering] compliance for the trade.”

The JCK Industry Fund Committee—which includes Sarin Bachmann of RX Jewelry Group, John Green of Lux Bond & Green, Michael Lerche of Goldstar Jewellery, Eddie LeVian of Le Vian, Sam Sandberg of A. Jaffe, and Yancy Weinrich of RX Global—will review submissions and announce recipients in early 2022.
