JCK and MJSA Partner to Bring New Pavilion to JCK Tucson 2017

The new pavilion will spotlight designers and custom jewelry creations

After debuting a new designer-focused model at its show in 2016 to acclaimed industry reviews, JCK Tucson has announced it will build upon that model with its partnership with MJSA, the U.S.-based trade association dedicated to professional excellence in jewelry-making and design. Through its partnership, JCK Tucson and MJSA will introduce a new pavilion for the 2017 show, offering retailers an exclusive opportunity to work and interact with MJSA members on custom work.

The partnership is an important one: As two industry powerhouses, JCK and MJSA bring best-in-class exhibitors together with the resources required to bring in the highest quality retailers and buyers. “The expertise of MJSA’s members is the best in the industry and was the first place we looked,” said industry vice president for JCK Las Vegas and JCK Tucson, Katie Dominesey. “We knew that we wanted to give retailers the chance to touch and feel and start creating pieces onsite at the Starr Pass. The MJSA members let us add a whole new dimension to being inspired.”

“We are pleased that JCK approached MJSA to collaborate on a supplier pavilion of MJSA members for JCK Tucson 2017,” added MJSA CEO and president David Cochran.

Held annually during Tuscon Gem Week in early February, JCK Tucson distinguishes itself from other events by offering the various components needed to create custom designs to retailer audience that is passionate about designer jewelry. The environment is relaxing but productive, conducive to business and networking. “When I attend JCK Tucson, I center on convenience in a relaxed environment,” said John Carter of Jack Lewis Jewelers, a JCK Loyalist retailer. “I’m taking the gemstones that I’ve found throughout the week and working hands-on with vendors on mounting and designing pieces so that when I return to my store, I’m ready to sell all my new finds.”

The Arizona Ballroom houses designers with one-of-a-kind collections, including the likes of Alishan, Aaron Henry, and Todd Reed. The Tucson Ballroom, where the MJSA Pavilion will be featured, is the destination for carefully curated exhibitors accompanied by demonstrations, on-the-show-floor education, and fireside chats.

JCK Tucson will take place at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort (pictured) February 1–4, 2017. For more information, visit jckonline.com/tucson.
