Plano, Texas–based J.C. Penney recently unveiled the Modern Bride Signature Collection of diamond engagement rings for customers seeking higher-end quality and designs.
Ranging in retail price from $2,500 to $10,000, the Modern Bride Signature Collection features 20 styles, all of which bear two entwined infinity symbols embracing a color-enhanced blue diamond on the gallery. (The average ticket price for existing Modern Bride line engagement rings is $1,000, and the affiliation with Condé Nast was cemented in 2011 despite the fact that the publisher shuttered its Modern Bride magazine in 2009.) The collection will be available in select stores, and customers will also have access to a newly introduced Modern Bride Diamond Vault of loose diamonds online to make all types of finished jewelry.
Styles in the new collection will be available in platinum and gold, and in-store J.C. Penney associates will be trained specifically to know the quality and characteristics of gemstones, diamonds, and precious metals. The merchant’s diamond selections will be certified by Independent Gemological Laboratories.
At press time, J.C. Penney officials would not elaborate further on the new collection.
