Longtime jewelry wholesaler Marjorie K. Hughes died on April 1 at age 87.
Hughes was the owner of J.C. Keppie Co., a wholesale diamond and jewelry company founded by her father in 1946. Her son, Tom Gorman, is now president of the company, which since 1991 has been called Keppie Kiger.
Hughes was also a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, the St. Clair Country Club, the Twentieth Century Club, and the Pittsburgh Opera.
