Janice Winter Named CEO of Misahara

The former president of Judith Ripka has been consulting with luxury brands since 2007

Misahara Fine Jewelry House, the New York–based fine jewelry brand, has appointed Janice Winter CEO.

Misahara has a boutique in New York’s Plaza Hotel, a retail presence at Material Good, and is available at Neiman Marcus stores in Palo Alto and Beverly Hills, Calif.

Winter is a luxury and jewelry industry veteran. She started her career with Estée Lauder and joined Judith Ripka in 1993 as vice president of marketing and sales. From 2000 to 2007 she served as the company’s president. Since 2007, she has consulted with the luxury sector for brand building and business development.

“After a thorough research process, I am delighted to have Janice as our new CEO,” said Misahara founder and designer Lepa Galeb-Roskopp in a statement. “Janice has a track record of strong leadership and success in the luxury industry. This combined with her experience at Estée Lauder and several other luxury brands makes her uniquely qualified to lead Misahara successfully into the future.”
