James Avery Opens 53rd Store



Family-owned jewelry retailer James Avery, established in 1954, recently announced the opening of its newest location in Fredericksburg, Texas. According to a company release, the new store-the retailer’s 53rd to date-will be the located at 207 East Main Street in the historic Schandua building. The store will feature an extensive selection of handcrafted designs, and will be open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Built in 1897, the Schandua Building is designated as a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark per the Texas Historical Commission. The store is the company’s second in the Texas Hill Country region of the state, with the company headquarters, a retail store and visitor’s center located 20 miles southwest in Kerrville.

James Avery operates stores across Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Louisiana, Georgia, and Alabama, in addition to maintaining an e-commerce site at jamesavery.com.

Guests are invited to attend the grand opening at the new location on Tuesday, October 27th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Refreshments will be available, as will chances to enter special drawings for jewelry and other prizes, and an opportunity to meet members of the Avery family. To commemorate the occasion, the Fredericksburg store will make a donation to the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Texas Hill Country.
