Jacob & Co.’s new Bandana Royale is more than an eye-popping piece of jewelry. The 200+ ct. collar necklace made for K-pop star G-Dragon also serves as a tribute to finding your trendsetting signature in fashion and reaching the pinnacle in your field, as G-Dragon has done.
A longtime collaborator with Jacob & Co., G-Dragon—the South Korean singer and rapper aka Kwon Ji-yong—wears a bandana in most of his videos. “The bandana is a signature element of G-Dragon’s style and visual language,” says Benjamin Arabov, CEO of the New York City–based luxury watch and jewelry brand. “It is a meaningful part of his identity and the world he has built across music, artistry, and fashion.
“Rather than designing a traditional high jewelry piece, we wanted to reimagine something personal and symbolic to the evolution and impact of his career. Elevating the bandana was about honoring that history and making it permanent, not changing what it represents,” Arabov adds.

Jacob & Co. used more than 145 cts. diamonds to turn the bandana from a simple silhouette of fabric into a precious gem wonder. The Bandana Royale’s pièce de résistance is its daisy—G-Dragon considers the daisy a symbol of his creativity, and this one has a 5.4 ct. fancy yellow round brilliant-cut diamond at its center.
“From the beginning, the challenge was translating the softness of a bandana into a high jewelry piece with real substance while keeping it fluid on the body,” says Arabov. “We designed it to feel sculptural yet alive, with every element engineered to look effortless and move with G-Dragon.”
In total, 209.71 cts. of gemstones are set in 18k yellow gold on the Bandana Royale. Here’s the breakdown: 94.34 cts. white diamonds, 44.76 cts. canary yellow diamonds, and 54.6 cts. t.w. of emeralds, rubies, sapphires (orange, pink, blue, purple, and yellow), tsavorites, red and pink spinels, and paraiba tourmalines. Plus, there are 10.6 cts. t.w. of those stones in melee. Whew!

And in case you were curious (like we were), the Bandana Royale weighs just over 559 grams, according to Arabov. The collar is intricate, delicate, and technically difficult to craft, he says, but Jacob & Co. is always willing to make what seems impossible possible.
“For this latest collaborative piece, we spent months working closely with G-Dragon to refine the shape, scale, and symbolism until it felt completely authentic to him,” Arabov says.
The Bandana Royale made its debut in mid-December at G-Dragon’s concerts in Seoul during his 2025 Übermensch world tour, and was showcased later that month at Korea’s Melon Music Awards.
Jacob & Co. and G-Dragon have previously worked together on such pieces as the one-of-a-kind Astronomia watch and the daisy-inspired jewelry collection Peaceminusone.
“Our ongoing creative collaboration with G-Dragon is absolutely a passion project,” Arabov says. “From complex watches to one-of-one high jewelry pieces, we’re always pushing the boundaries of craftsmanship, emotion, and storytelling, because we don’t just make objects—we create worlds.”
